Do UAE real estate agents have to register on goAML?
Yes. Real estate brokers and agents in the UAE are classified as Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs) and must register on the FIU goAML portal. Registration is a prerequisite for meeting reporting obligations, because Suspicious Transaction Reports, Real Estate Activity Reports and other notifications can only be filed through goAML.
Registration should be completed before the business starts concluding property transactions on behalf of customers. Failure to register and report exposes the firm to administrative penalties from the Ministry of Economy, which supervises the sector. Beyond the legal duty, goAML access is the practical channel that lets a broker discharge day-to-day compliance obligations.

· Cabinet Resolution No. 134/2025 (Executive Regulations), Article 3(2) - designates real estate brokers and agents as DNFBPs.
· Cabinet Resolution No. 134/2025 (Executive Regulations), Article 18 - requires reporting entities to notify the FIU of suspicious transactions, which in practice is done through goAML.
