What is Anti-Money Laundering in the UAE?
To strengthen its fight against money laundering (ML), terrorism financing (TF), and proliferation financing (PF), the UAE government has implemented rigorous anti-money laundering (AML) regulations. These efforts are strengthened by comprehensive guidelines from various supervisory authorities. The AML laws requires certain entities such as banks, real estate agents, accountants, lawyers, etc, to follow AML compliance obligations aimed at protecting them from financial crimes such as ML, TF and PF.
