What is an example of AML?
Anti-money laundering (AML) is the set of laws and regulations in place to combat the financial crimes of money laundering (ML), terrorism financing (TF) and proliferation financing (PF). AML laws require certain entities to adhere to AML compliance obligations that protect such entities from being used as conduits for financial crimes. An example of AML measure would be Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment which obligates entities to assess the ML, TF or PF risks their business may face and adopt risks mitigation strategies accordingly.
